We caught this badass last night at ND Studios. He’s Lee Fields and his new album Faithful Man pulverizes anything I’ve heard a white person do in the last ten years. The title track made Vesper-contributor Heather Brown cry three bars in. Sorry people, Rock and Roll is dead. I don’t have time to explain why. I started this blurb with the words “Lee Fields is the coolest motherfucker ever” only to discover, much to my chagrin, that Vice got there three days ago.
Fuck my life.
So, sell your fog machines and your new bassist. Do whatever it takes to sound more like this guy and less like…you.
