Last week, Vesper Magazine had the incredible honor of sitting down with rockabilly legend Lee Rocker.  Rocker is probably best known for his work with The Stray Cats—an act that garnered 23 gold and platinum records worldwide and established itself as an essential figure in the post-punk era.  But Rocker’s list of collaborators after the Cats reads like a map key for the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame:  Carl Perkins, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Willie Nelson, Keith Richards, John Fogerty and so forth.  We caught Rocker at Revival Fest 2012—alongside Reverend Horton Heat and Danish psychobilly act The Necromantix—where he was kind enough to share his thoughts on rockabilly, London and life.

Rocker is currently on tour; the dates are viewable at leerocker.com.
